Introduction to

Non Surgical Face & Neck Lift

The results from a Silhouette Instalift procedure will be more noticeable than results from fillers, for example. However, like fillers, Silhouette will produce longer lasting results, which will typically last around twelve to twenty-four months or so.

Silhouette will also promote collagen production in the skin, so the procedure is a great way to eliminate lines and wrinkles around the face while returning a healthy glow to your skin.

How Do I Get Started on

my Silhouette Lift?

If you want a non surgical facelift or neck lift procedure performed, the process will begin with a consultation in Dr. Ogilvie’s office. Dr. Ogilvie will discuss your desired results and whether Silhouette is the right way to achieve those results. You will also be able to ask any and all questions you might have during the consultation in order to ensure you have the best possible information regarding Silhouette and your desired final outcome.

Who is a Good Candidate for

Silhouette Lift?

As a non surgical procedure, Silhouette is generally a good fit for candidates with mild to moderate signs of aging with healthy skin, who are looking to appear more youthful but who do not want to undergo a surgical facelift.

For most Silhouette candidates, neither dermal filler injectables nor Botox will be able to help them achieve the results they want. Additionally, most Silhouette candidates will be looking to avoid or will not be good candidates for facelift surgery.

Is Silhouette Instalift

Right For Me?

Generally speaking, good candidates for Silhouette Instalift will:

  • Want to eliminate mild sagging, lines, or wrinkles from the face.
  • Have good overall skin quality (that is, your skin in the face is not too thick and not too thin).
  • Often have bone structure conducive to the procedure.
  • Have visible marionette lines that they want to eliminate.
  • Not have a great deal of excess skin.
  • Be generally healthy enough for Silhouette.
  • Have realistic expectations of what Silhouette can accomplish.

The Silhouette Instalift

Silhouette sutures are composed of special sugar molecules. The suture is inserted into the specified layer of skin, which is then pulled tighter and higher. This improves sag in the skin and creates the appearance of youthfulness. Silhouette is ideal for making areas of the face and neck appear tighter, smoother, and firmer.

Silhouette is often associated with other thread lift procedures, but that comparison is not precisely apt. Silhouette offers significant improvements–both in technique and in results—over previous and other current thread lift options.

In general, Silhouette will be performed in our offices with localized anesthetic. Once the patient is comfortable and the anesthetic has been applied, Dr. Ogilvie will determine the best place to insert the Silhouette sutures.

Recovery and

Some patients will experience some mild soreness for 24-48 hours after the procedure, but there is usually no required downtime or recovery period after Silhouette. Over time, the suture will naturally dissolve. Results from Silhouette will typically last around 12-24 months without signs of wear.
